Salado College, late 1880s. The college opened in 1860 with 75 students. Enrollment soon grew to 300 students.

This made-to scale model of Salado College was built by Maurice Carson in 2009. This view shows the south elevation of the college building.

The original building was the two-story L-shaped structure on the right. The annex and south entrance on the west were added in 1869-1871.
